I suspect 'Grinus asked this question for a specific reason, and if i'm right, Morph nailed it.

So now we have three social traditions/rituals that we realise target steak-eaters (of both genders), which more often than not benefit women at the expense of men: marriage, valentine's day, and prom. Any others? Or should I start a new thread about this so as not to derail this one?
