Motherly love isn´t unconditional because of the
separation between the one who loves (mother) and the
one who is loved (child).
How come? When do you think this separation occurs? The moment the child is born? Is that the moment when the mother sees it is separate from the child?
I know it is true. I know my mother doesn't love me unconditionally. She takes care of me and I love her for that. But other than taking care of me, we are on completely different wavelengths. She has expectations of me that are very different than my expectations off myself. I have to follow my own path, and it is very different than the path she has (had?) in mind for me.
