I thought about why each gender, going through the same experience, are affected differently and bring about different outcomes. One reason that came to mind is that when a man is in a long-term-relationship he becomes content/comfortable and as a result no longer works to improve or keep himself up. Inversely, women are always looking for the better package so are constantly keeping up with their appearance and working to improve upon the things which a mate would find attractive. Also, because a woman is always looking for the better package, she has potential men within her radar and has formulated how she can get him into a relationship.
This is good... :geek:

...and think about your second point again...if women are the ones bring pursued, then doesn't that put them in control of who they 'allow' to catch them?

With women (generally speaking)...it's always a seller's market. :ugeek:

Usually the one that gets dumped is the one that struggles with confidence. It's not always the female that's so quick to get back on her feet and start meeting new guys. When I broke up with my ex I went on a rampage and hooked up with mad chicks. I wasn't phased at all by it I was motivated to meet new females. It was probably the best time of my life finally being single again. I went out every night for like 2-3 months straight with one of my boys. He also agrees that it was the best time in his life lol.
