Natural Freedom

Hey all this is my first post but it is one that I feel could be a lot of help to myself and others who are in similar situations. I have read through all of the posts about indifference, value, being your best friend etc. And one of the biggest things I feel would help myself and others with being more confident, happy in our own skin and being the best you can be, is finding the right career. Given that your job takes up a huge part of your life and can help create confidence, front and clout I feel that finding a career that you enjoy doing is an important aspect in being happy in yourself.

I'm sure we have all met someone who hates their job and it just brings them down and radiates throughout their entire life making them miserable and far from being the best they can be. When I left university in July I had a career plan which gave me a lot of confidence and this radiated throughout my life, I managed to get an internship and then a job in what I thought was my dream career but it turned into a bit of a nightmare. So I'm now looking for a new career path but quite frankly I have no idea where I should go.

So my question to the guys out there who have found the careers that they enjoy and are content with, how did you find what you wanted to do? From what I gather The Kidd! used to be in the military and now works in nursing, was this a natural transition for you, how did you decide you wanted to work in the nursing profession? And to others how did you find the right career?

Anyhoo, transitioning into nursing was pretty evolutionary for me because I was in the medical field while in the military...so while my discipline in the medical field has indeed evolved, I am building on a very strong foundation of past and consistent medical experience and education. That being said, I'm sure transitioning into nursing might have been easier for me than saaaaay, someone who decided to jump into medical from financial or some other unrelated discipline.

My philosophy on working is as follows: I am cool with a job/career that I don't MIND doing. Am I in love with nursing? NO...BUT!!...do I dread getting up in the morning to go to work? Nope.

I used to think like most people...that if I got a job doing something I love it would be awesome. Well, I was given that opportunity once...and all it did was turn something I loved into work. So ever since then, I decided I just wanted a job that I didn't mind...this way, in my free time it made me love what I love even MORE.

I have not found a career yet cause I'm still in school however my whole outlook about career changed even since being here on the forum...

before: I thought that I want a high paying job (even if it's a job I hate) so that more women will want me.

today: after I'm done with school I'll find something that I like to do even if it won't make me rich.
Of course I'm not planing of getting a job that pays too little (cause I have bills to pay) but I won't do something I hate just because the money is good and more women will jock me.

Whatever I decide to do - I'll do for myself and myself only (women are out of the equation for choosing a career).

That's practically my vision too.. To get a job I don't mind doing and it pays so I can pay bills and save something

No one really loves something forever. To me the key is getting paid while decreasing the amount of time you spend actually working.

As much as I love discovering new things about health and fitness this shit here gets tiresome especially when you're bombarded every which direction with onslaught questions about this shit.
