Taken from "Tribe of Hackers", book about cybersecurity (haven't read until this part but it caught my eyes ^^)
Interviewed: Ming Chow
What is some practical cybersecurity advice you give to people at home in the age of social media and the Internet of Things?
Less is more.
What is a life hack that you’d like to share?
Directly related to my “less is more” comment above is the Minimalist Mantra:
“Stop buying the unnecessary. Toss half your stuff, learn contentedness. Reduce half again.
List 4 essential things in your life, do these first, stop doing the non-essential.
Clear distractions, focus on each moment. Let go of attachment to doing, having more. Fall in love with less.”
I’ve thrown away so much stuff over the last three years that I now have less than when I moved into my home.
It is very liberating.
The joke among my family and friends is that the only thing I haven’t thrown out of the house is myself.
