I am curious to know how you guys have dealt with your parents since you unplugged. My parents are overprotective and call me several times a week. When i go a few days without answering they say that they are worried.I have not answered the phone with the hope that they would get the message and feel guilty about it.Today i called them and said whats the big deal if they dont hear from me in awhile and they always say "If you are a parent you will understand".Don't get me wrong i love my parents to death but i don't want to be affected or should i say infected by their conditioning, and my did is basically controlled by my mother so talking to him alot would be bad for my subconscious.I have already started slowly separating myself from acquaintance and friends(or so called friends) around me so i can get a better perspective of the world and start seeing it for what is really is but i just don't know what to do about my parents?

What does your gut tell you?

You already know the answer.

I broke my mom completely down once...it was GLORIOUS.

Long story, but after I got my peace in whether she liked it or not, she was reduced to a crying snot bubble. She looked at me and said, "I'M A TERRIBLE MOTHER!"...to which I calmly replied, 'You are...but you are also an awesome provider."

I've had several talks like that with my mom.

I have my own path to walk and I can see how she feels I will die alone because I don't accept the rules of the Matrix, she won't ever understand and I would rather not cause pain.

However the time is ripening to offer one of my little brothers the red pill  8-)

Caliboy - sounds like my relationship with my parents is very different from yours, so I can't pretend to offer you advice, but I've written a fair bit about my parents, so maybe you might find it insightful to see how I think about them. It probably won't answer any specific questions you have, but could be useful in the long run.

My parents:

This is Merrick's thread (long, but a worthwhile read), and there's a good discussion of mothers in there that I contributed to: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2157

Enjoy.
