Bonjour,

I'd like to present a homepage that I visit quite regularly and has lots of great informations on it, about self-development and the different techniques. Its the homepage of Steven Martile: www.freedomeducation.ca

Stevens posts (most of the time he does a video) have helped me a lot in the past and I keep learning from them. He writes about beliefs and how to change them, visualizations, affirmations, happiness, confidence and much more. And its practical which means he tells one what to do and how to do it.

Some examples:
3 Mistakes about doing affirmations

Changing negative thoughts and the "little voice"

I don´t make affirmations that can not be backed with
some definite action. My affirmations are more like goals,
or steps for achieving those goals. I´m more proactive
than just waiting for results, although, there are 2 words
that I like.

1) Synchronicity
2) Serendipity

Bytheby, what do you think is the opposite of >freedom>?

The opposite of freedom is wanting security.
The more secure you are, the less freedom you
experience. The best secured men/women have
guards and live behind bars.

Instead of "I am......."

I use;

"I allow myself to......."

There´s no conflict, and it´s proactive.

What are affirmations for? What are they supposed to do?

Affirmations were created to install beliefs in your mind, Wether if it's to change your behaviour, your thinking or the ouside world (or all of them together).

Visualization (or should I say "effective visualization") is the same thing only far better.

You know feeling good is good enough for me..."

Responsibility is the key to freedom.

We are all responsible for our current results.
Like B.Proctor put it;

"If I think you are responsible for my troubles,
I´ve gotta make you to change me to grow.
If you think other people are the cause of your
problems, you´re going to have to send the rest
of the world to the psychiatrist for you to get better."

THere's a quicker way to put in beliefs, ask "How does this empower me?" And after the answers the belief will be in.
