Search function just outputs the following. http://www.naturalfreedom.info/viewtopi ... ieff#p3479

Quote:
The Fourth Way is a spiritual and psychological system developed by George Gurdjieff that aims for human awakening while living a normal life in the modern world.

Core Concepts

• Waking Sleep: Gurdjieff taught that most humans live in a semi-hypnotic "waking sleep," reacting mechanically to life like robots or sleepwalkers while mistakenly believing they are conscious.
• Synthesis of Three Traditional Paths: Unlike older paths that require retiring from the world, the Fourth Way combines and balances three traditional approaches:
1. The Fakir Way: Focuses on the physical body and control over physical instincts.
2. The Monk Way: Focuses on the emotional center, faith, and devotion.
3. The Yogi Way: Focuses on the intellectual center and mental knowledge.
• Living in the World: Instead of a monastery or retreat, the "laboratory" of the Fourth Way is daily life—using everyday friction, work, and relationships to practice self-observation.
• Essence vs. Personality:
• Essence is your true, natural, and undeveloped core (what you were born with).
• Personality is the artificial mask or conditioned set of habits and opinions picked up from society.

Key Practices

• Self-Observation: Watching your thoughts, reactions, and automatic behaviors without judging them.
• Self-Remembering: Making a constant, conscious effort to stay present to your own existence in the current moment rather than drifting in daydreams.
• Harmonizing Centers: Developing the body, heart (emotions), and mind (intellect) together so the person does not grow up lopsided or fragmented.
Pretty much what is already here on the forums.

Guy looked like a OG pimp tho' (I'm sure he was one of'em)
