interesting - i was really in the now the other day from lifeflow meditation and my hand looked really far away when I did a certain thing with my eyes.. like twice as far way as it was.. and i was really calm and watched my thumb move as if I wasn't the "mover" of it.

I don't know if it's the same you've experienced, but I sometimes have switched my attention to a wider field of view, where I keep my eyes looking at a fixed point, but instead of focusing on the point (I cannot even tell where the point is at, it's undetermined), I focus on the overall wide picture, with my peripheral vision playing an important role.

What I've experienced is that I cannot do that without getting in the present moment. And while I'm practicing that way of looking (so to say), I cannot lose my attention with a thought, without losing at the same time that expanded field of vision.
