You were born with TWO fears : fear of heights, and fear of loud noise. All the other fears are passed on to you by your parents / environment (DON'T TOUCH THISSSSSS !!!!!! NOOOOOO !!!) Do you still fear heights ? Do you still fear loud noise ? Haven't you been to night clubs ? If your natural fears are not there anymore, why do you still have fears imprinted on you by your parents ? Quick read if you want : http://meditationguru.in/fuck-fear/ |

No. I have some fears which serve me well in life. Like the fear of procrastination and being a nice guy. |

Goldenboy, those are similar to my thoughts. We have ingrained fears that ACTUALLY serve us well, but we also are taught other fears such as: fear of public speaking, spiders, etc that DO NOT serve us well. I'll give that ebook a read. I wanted to see other pimp tight men had to say on the issue. I have a feeling whatever you believe to be true will be true for you. |

Fears often leads to Suffering, whence. Fear is necessary, suffering is optional. The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem. Do you understand? Quote by Captain Jack Sparrow |

I don't think that'd be a very intelligent idea personally. Your equipped with fear for a reason. It's there to protect you and warn you when something dangerous is about to happen. With it, you're able to act accordingly and protect yourself. So I just use it as a tool. But if you're talking about common fears, they can always be lessened once you accept 'em. But totally free? Don't know. |

BeautifulFear is necessary, suffering is optional. The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem. Do you understand? Quote by Captain Jack Sparrow Fear is a label for a natural healthy reaction of the nervous system that will take you over when a bear starts chasing you. You don't need to get rid of that. What we do is read about bears having chased someone once, then create pictures of that happening-- get freaked out about going into the woods and starting causes about the evil bears. Or maybe it did happen to you once (ie rejection) and you are creating a picture of it. 99% of fear is fear of illusions. It's fear of what you think is going to happen, or potentially could happen, or what happened once. The amount of this shit operating in most people is almost unfathomable.. economic, relationship, crime, debt, terrorism. All of that can be done without. If you "fear rejection" it means you are picturing something happening. My guess is that it is pretty rare that a girl will actually pull out a chainsaw or do something that, if fully present (not creating pictures in your head, or assigning meaning to the situation that is not inherently in it), would legitimately trigger your CNS The solution of course requires bringing this into the light of consciousness so you can see what they are, and to live so presently that fear only arises in for the few minutes when the bus is about to hit you or there's a gun to your head, which may literally never happen in your life. Of course that takes work so who the fuck wants to do that when they can just play on their iphones and watch the news (which constantly feeds more hypothetical situations to fear). |
