Good video Flow83, certainly an interesting first contribution to the forum :D

Welcome to the forum.

He explains it well, including also the misconceptions which often get left out.

Note: I would lean against embedding if you can, provide links, that is preferable. Quite a few view these forums on mobile devices.

The thing is, those misconceptions are key for business.

The bottom line is that a HUGE impetus for people continuing with various products, goals courses, etc. is that the marketing either implies or directly states that this is the key to having everything. At least some of the big mainstream "releasing" modalities out there still give credit and honor Lester Levenson, who was very clear about it NOT being about material success, but they too are guilty (to varying degrees) of implying or directly stating that releasing = money / sex / what you want and if they aren't there, you haven't done it right.

One of the key things GP says to me is that when you learn how it FEELS you don't need anything to show you you've done it right, you know you are there when you've taken that posture and what can happen will happen. You don't look for the new house to show up to show you that you did it right. By definition, you are quite attached if that is the case but have hidden the attachment under the guise of some spiritual practice.

The true releasing is about realizing that happiness does not come from those objects and comes from within you, and can only be glimpsed when you finally get the balls to begin dropping the attachment to them and surrender which is NOT effortless (however, after the shit is cleared out, being yourself is effortless)

Even some of the master sages of all time - Ramana Maharshi, etc. died from illness. So did Lester Levenson - this stuff is not about giving you super powers to control every aspect of the world, that is the ego's idea of paradise, it is about finding peace and happiness within truth of the moment as it is.
