I've began to meditate for a certain period to see if I learn a thing or two.

I've known of binaural beats such as theta and delta, which help the mind relax to a deeper state.

Does anyone have prior experience with binaural beats or recommendations?

The only thing I ever got out of them was lack of sleep and aching ears, Binaural Beats are, as our dear friend Kidd would say: hooey.

Agree this is a waste of time, meditation itself is beneficial you should just learn how to do that it definitely helps relieve your stress and center yourself.

Here is a couple of resources :

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_ ... the+breath

http://www.amazon.com/Wake-Your-Life-Di ... 066&sr=1-1

Try this out let me know what you think. :ugeek:

I agree,

totally and utterly agree

Did I mention I agreed 8-)

I have did this for months on a consistent basis all I got was stiffness, painful ears, and instead of quieting my mind it got more noisy when I meditated with Binaural beats.

You are definitely better off just learning from the resources I showed especially meditation on the breath its simple not easy but gets better as you do it more.

Sit in front of a wall.

Look at the wall but do not see it.

Be there for at least an hour.

If you overuse them you get symptoms of schizophrenia although I think thats just alpha. It raises the amount of dopamine in your system and causes hallucinations.

I used a monaural beat hypnosis for 30 days. I enjoyed the experiences (getting into trance) but it didn't bring me the promised effects (not women-related).

I think you get much more out of meditation where you empty your mind yourself by observing. Need to practice that more myself tough.

I tried meditating with Binaural Beats in the past. I had this happen to me:

so I think it's best to meditate without it

Yep, got some pretty good hallucinations with them. There have been a lot of studies done on how music and sound in general effects our brain.
