In regards to the job and women earning less: it makes sense because the company knows that at some point the woman will have a baby and will be absent from work a lot.
Don't trust these type of facts/statistics. That are given out by these type of organisations.
Because they alter it, in such a way that it makes it look like asif women are getting a bad deal. While if you look at the facts, it's not. (Western society I'm talking about here, in many countries outside western society I think they actually are).
For instance the fact that women get paid less, isn't really true. Looking at it closely, they often get paid equally or even more. If you look at the pay per worked hour.
These organisation alter the data in many ways.
For instance, I read an article about how women have less free time then men.
Then as I read the "borring" factual paper about it, and the way of how they measured it. They took shopping time, not as free time but as work time. Since women did spend much more time shopping then men, that's how they came to it that women had less free time.
This is just an example off how they play with the statistics, just to make their point.
