For the past few years I actually tried not to spend money in this specific manner this article talks about - It makes great sense when I think about how people I know live... It's sad, but I acknowledge how well it is designed.

I have been focused on my personal gains for the past 2 years, but I try to focus on everything asa an investment into something in the future - except for when I'm slacking and doing nothing
I also try to remember that time is not unlimited, almost everyone I know acts like it is the case.
