I never fully understood why Peregrinus and some others on here said that women need us more than we need them... But then I found this video of the Dutch version of Survivor. In this particular version there is an island with only women and an island with only men. Because the women weren't doing very well the producers decided to send one of the men to the women's island and one of the women to the men's island, as a slave. See for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqfAt7TshLw Also notice how the male "slave" is treated by the women vs how the female "slave" is treated by the men. Keep in mind that this is a staged TV-show, where things are manipulated by the producers. So it probably should be taken with a grain of salt. But still the differences are quite striking. It is an interesting social experiment, even if it is partly staged. The producers can't stage that laziness in the female group or the relaxation the woman had by being around excess men again. |

Do you think that is a problem of lacking of knowledge (in surviving) or it is just like lazyness ? |

I am pretty sure that women can be taught survival skills. In fact both the male and the female contestants were given a basis survival course before the show. But maybe men naturally have some more interest in these kind of things... Laziness? Hmm... The women in the Dutch version and the US version seem lazy. But the women in the UK version are not. To me it seems a problem of male guidance. The women seem lost without a male structure in place. They seem to have no direction. The women in the UK version even literally lose their way. |
