Lauren Silverman waited OVER A YEAR to divorce husband so she could get $4million from pre-nup
Quote:
Lauren Silverman, the married New York socialite expecting Simon Cowell's baby, had to wait over a year and a half to divorce her husband, sources say.
According to a report in The New York Post, Silverman, 36, was holding off on breaking the news about her affair with Cowell until the 10-year mark in her marriage so the terms of her pre-nup would kick in - awarding her $3 or $4 million.
'This is just another example of her going for the money,' a source from Andrew's camp told the Post.

Lauren's mother, Carole Saland, meanwhile has slammed claims her daughter deliberately got pregnant to "trap" the 'X Factor' boss.
And she's calling for him to do the "right thing" and marry her pregnant daughter.
Quote:
She told The Sun newspaper: 'Lauren is not a gold-digger. She came from a very comfortable family and never lacked for anything.
'Her and Simon are very fond of each other. She tells me great things about him and has always spoken very highly of him...
"I trust Simon to do the right thing by my daughter.'

Looks like Simon forgot to wrap his tool. Or she 'forgot' to take the pill, whichever one. I'd say she stands to make a fair whack out of him anyway.

Awful all the way around :|

...and it's funny how the chick's mom just expects Simon to naturally give a fuck about what she thinks he should do, lest she won't look at him favorably anymore.

If anything...I bet the mom wishes SHE was having Simon's baby.

...and you best believe that baby is gonna have a DNA test quicker than my youngest child did.

...and poor guy she's been married to for the last 10 years!

Guilt tactics make me lol. I'm certain they won't work on a guy like Simon though. I think he's fairly clued up and won't be putting any of his $60m p/yr income on the line for her. Rumour was that he'd put her on his payroll for life to keep her quiet

I'd be shocked if he married her - Can't risk the inevitable divorce 10yrs down the line.

I wouldn't be surprised, how many times do we see these actresses that marry 3 or 4 times, makes you wonder why those guys don't see past failed marriages as giant red flags.

Hopefully Simon is a wiser man than her ex-husband.

I'm not so sure Alchemist. He's evidently anti-marriage. I always thought he was queer, but he's always got pussy hanging off his arm. Not that this means anything in Hollywood.
Quote:
“Actually, being on my own is the best thing in the world. It’s like breathing in oxygen — I can really switch off then.” He keeps vampiric hours, going to bed at 2am or 3am, rising late and “working out for an hour or so to a movie”.

Bring up women — over the years Cowell’s perplexing love life has become a constant source of entertainment to the media — and he laughs. “I’m fine as I am. I think that when you get into a rut, it gets boring.” By “rut” does he mean “relationship”? “Look,” he smiles, enjoying himself, “when no matter how big your house is, you are going to end up on the same sofa, in the same bed or in the same room as a person, you are going to get bored. It’s a boring routine.” So marriage as an institution is boring? “Well, the way most people live it, yes. Have a carrot, darling — and dip it in the sauce.”
I still maintain the guy ain't a sucker - we won't be seeing him tying the knot and handing over his fortune to the undeserved anytime soon.
