I am telling you my side of the story so you understand this—I am not a good a person when I am beautiful. I don’t want it to be so important — but I think it’s important to you, as guys, so it’s important to me. And this is my story, not every woman’s and I’m sure there are plenty of beautiful women who are not like me either. But when I’m beautiful—or close to beautiful—it’s all I think about. When I’m beautiful and I’m with you, I’m wondering if the guy across the room thinks I’m beautiful. I think beauty is going to connect us; but I’m not connecting with you, I’m connecting with a beautiful image of myself that I think you might like. It sucks. It sucks for both of us.

What I really want to be doing – instead of going through that same-same ritual – is learning to write code. Studying analytics.
I've always found this hard to believe, that women could actually be interested in something like coding. Not questioning their (mental) ability, which I think is usually greater than men's, just their interest. When I watch, they almost always seem to be phoning it in. There could be the (imo very) rare exception of course, but if this was true in general, I think the world would be very different from what it is now (almost everything created/built by men). It just seems like fashionable pretense. I'd love to be convinced otherwise though.

This is something I can relate to because I'm fighting this addiction as we speak.I think I have been brainwashed into believing that if you don't look like a Caucasian male model or a black man with swag you are not good looking here I'm America. think that these labels are bullshit and if western society thinks I look different or weird than fuck them.
