So many things to say. So few images to summarize it. |

Grinus ? I'll let you be the judge.Thank you. Personally, I didn't post it in Comedy, and wonderful in sarcasm was meant as opposite, so it was my warning. But I don't see reality as disturbing ... it is what it is. |

It might help GoldenBoy, if you provided a bit more context. Rather than just dropping that image. Also, re-read what Scarf said and wonder how he might have meant it. |

Seeing stuff like this, makes me hope there is life (of some sort) after death, because that's just bullshit. Some of those people had no choice to be put in that position. |

Why are you all suffering over this? You do realize its just pixels on a screen - the meaning you do or don't put on each of those images is entirely inside your own head. |

Let's beggin with simple descriptions: Follow the descriptions from the upper left, to the right: Code: Select all The first kid in the upper left is looking for gold, sometimes contained in the graveyard of electronic components. The second pair of women with children on their backs are chasing something with their sticks. The third image is probably some monsanto tractor putting some genetically modified seeds. Fourth image, a brunnete bitch holding some fancy cellphone. The black manourished kid in the lower center is clearly defecating. And the fat kiddos are ennjoying/oredring another quarter pound in the fast food restaurant. Actually, the one with the cap, is asking if they're gonna eat those fries, because he's still very hungry. |

Meaning is assigned. There is still 'what is' You may very well have the resources at your disposal to affect a situation that is obviously (unless you are a neo-advaitist or something) causing suffering. He's starving, I have food. He's on fire, I have an extinguisher. Everything is perfect as it is -- so why did the Buddha teach? |

I don't have more context, I saw it randomly (like that, not 'directly' (well ...) related to the topic (diminution of oil in the world)) on a forum (link, and that's all, it is a quite accurate description of 'how I see' the world (his black facet if I may).Rather than just dropping that image. Also, re-read what Scarf said and wonder how he might have meant it. I'll add my view on Dali's description of it :
Follow the descriptions from the upper left, to the right:
Now, if Scarf's observation was meant to put a disclaimer as to show that these are disturbing images, that are MEANT to derange to provoke a reaction on the individuals that see it, I agree wholeheartadly, but thought that people on this forum are hardened enough already ... and didn't need this. The first kid in the upper left is looking for gold, sometimes contained in the graveyard of electronic components. Or just something valuable that he can sell. The second pair of women with children on their backs are chasing something with their sticks. No idea what The third image is probably some monsanto tractor putting some genetically modified seeds. More likely to treat with pesticides his land. Fourth image, a brunnete bitch holding some fancy cellphone. The black manourished kid in the lower center is clearly defecating. Not particularly, just suffering from lack of food / water. And the fat kiddos are ennjoying/oredring another quarter pound in the fast food restaurant. Actually, the one with the cap, is asking if they're gonna eat those fries, because he's still very hungry. My apology if it hurt somebody new, a visitor, or just a member for whom this type of propaganda (as it surely was meant to shake) moves. As I wasn't shocked by it even just a bit, I didn't imagine it would disturb my seniors. Note taken. Edit : Will ponder it for a week and come back if I have more to add. |

In a conversation and a story, context is everything.
Rather than just dropping that image. |
