Shit, that happens to me all the time. It's a byproduct of giving space, some are just crazier than others...but if they perceive you as their best option you may need to change your locks.

You'll also stop any assuming that it must be "so amazing" to be with xyz girl just because she is hot, like you will hear a painful percentage of guys' attitude towards women.

Its literally not even close to worth it. Your making sure she is together will be genuine and not some silly "qualify her" as a technique.

So in some ways it's a good thing to experience once :)
