Post subject:  The Passing of Whitney Houston

Alright so when news got around that Whitney Houston is dead everybody(mostly women) from my family to the FaceBook was so surprised   .

I mean really did nobody gave a damn about Whitney Houston when she started smoking crack with Bobby Brown and it was all downhill from there. Now that she's dead all of a sudden everybody gives damn, now don't get me wrong she contributed heavily to the music industry I just didn't give a damn about her or her music mostly because I had no interest in it whatsoever and the social matrix conditioning of what a young black male who's been raised in America is supposed to like according to culture and environment.

I for one was not surprised at all that she died I mean come on look at her lifestyle its been advertised all over the world. Anyway has anybody else notice a pattern that when a celebrity dies the cause always seem to be unknown or some mysterious B.S. happened that can't be explained? I think the media and police are covering things up to keep the celebrity in a certain light when they pass but that's just an assumption on my part.

Food for thought I am very interested to hear others opinions on here

In the immortal words of Christopher Wallace (not sure of exact quotation but it went something like this) You aren't nobody and won't become somebody until your dead.

I like how it is his fault.

And societies fault.

And the drugs fault.

None of it is her fault.

Yes, as resonance says it came as no surprise to me. The surprise is in that it took this long to happen given her lifestyle.

You know I'm joking, 'Grinus. ;)

I too am not surprised...just amazed it wasn't sooner as you said.

A woman at work last night asked me how I felt about it...I said indifferent. 8-)

I must say that I liked her and it's a shame. Unlike most of the mainstream black women singers today like: Mary J blige, Ashanti, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson - she never dressed like a hoe or acted like a hoe on her music videos (at least non of the ones I saw...)

She had a great voice and talent so she didn't need to dress and act like a hoe in order to sell records.

Even if you don't like her music style, at least you can give her credit for that.

She was still a part of that 'era' where the music industry was more about talent and less about who can dress and act like a slut better...

Sure you had Madonna in the 80's who was a slut (but still had some talent) but it's not like today where almost every woman singer you see on MTV is a slut with no talent.

Sniper, it's not about being a slut now, she had different lifestyle habits. namely being hooked on Cocaine, crack ( Hard Drugs). her habits had death as it's destination for a looooooooooooooooooong time now, I too am surprised she didn't keel over already.
she was trying to get her grove back by dating your favorite Socialite's ex. Ray J ( Kim Kardashian)
still. R.I.P though. she sure could sing!

Whitney Houston's death on Feb. 11 was ruled as an accidental drowning
Accidental riiiiiiight

Beverly Hilton Hotel suite the night before the Grammys -- though it was determined that heart disease and cocaine contributed as well.
