I just want to start a thread with a punch line I found out (which I would love to hear your thoughts about) : When people is "very" beautiful young, their beauty decreases. When people is "less" beautiful young, their beauty increases. Here are some : Increasing beauty : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Decreasing beauty : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Another way to look at it : Marquee Value : Men tend to go better looking than women (by society's standards) I often found that it's there are common graphs: - ugly as a child, beautiful as a young adult, decrepating over 50+ years - ugly as a child, beauty increasing over time - beautiful until mid crisis (specially women) Another thing: women reach their physical peak at ~20 years whilst men mostly between 25 and 35 years and they keep it better. PS : Not sure if serious |

I can attest to the increasing beauty, I was a nerdy looking kid, now in my late 20s and packing on some weight I'm what people consider good looking. |

The ones who were stunning at school go over earlier. The ones who were borderline tend to improve later. The ones you would not look at, run into them 20 years later and watch your jaw drop. The ugly duckling who turns into a beautiful swan. |

I started out good looking (cute baby) Grew up and was still good looking (Still "cute" and young looking") Now I'm good looking as in handsome, as in women want me but I think they're just using me for my looks... You: gosh darn it, you're so vain! Damn right and I plan on staying good looking! |

I was cute baby, awkward adolescent, gorgeous adult. Funny thing is, I'm rarely called handsome (maybe only family members lol)...usually is gorgeous, beautiful, fine or something other than handsome lol! |

Hmm.. Some girls tell me I'm good looking, although majority of girls would say ugly or normal at best |

My mom says she got compliments on how adorable I was as a baby. I cringe at how nerdy and not good looking I was 5th grade to about 21. Now I fairly frequently have random girls call me hot, gorgeous, and 'sooo cute' I feel this is part taking care of one's appearance, and bigger part attitude and mindset tho. |
