Ok, here's an interesting article on addiction, and he uses sex addiction as an example: http://therawness.com/the-addiction-mod ... Rawness%29 I couldn't help think while reading the article that a pretty good number of guys seem to display the characteristics he describes, and that many of the symptoms people describe around here as "taking the red pill" mirror those of addiction withdrawal. I mean how many men (especially obvious when thinking about PUAs) seem to display the three characteristics of being addicted? Compulsion: "It’s an urge that feels irresistible, often irrational and contrary to one’s conscious will, defies reason, and displays an extreme disregard for risk and consequences." Tolerance: "It becomes less about chasing a larger than life feeling and more about keeping emotional sensations of worthlessness at bay in order to just get through the day." Withdrawal: "This is when you feel extreme emotional distress and intense cravings whenever deprived." |

That's hilarious that you quoted south park because I was also going to quote it -- "Sex a hoo hoo?" on the, what I think is pretty amazing, sex addiction episode. The scene the monkey in the hair curlers beating up her cheating mate alone is worth it. Sorry to completely derail from the article and points Meraki
