For some time I've been showing up with all mind; little heart.

I embraced my other side and let it be. In this is life. There's a lot of clarity within here.

I didn't plan for anything today, it just happened. I accepted my spirituality within. I've been on this path for a while. I hadn't bought in though. I read and read with only the mind (I'm not talking about only pimp tight stuff either spirituality and energies). I wasn't ready for it. I was too busy holding onto what I thought was me.

Too many little things (not so little now that I think about it) happened in life recently. I would have to be completely closed off and blind to not see the correlation...energy/waves/frequencies/and most likely space.

I broke down myself today at the courts while waiting to get on. A memory came to mind...I was fortunate enough to be able to meet Michael Jordan when I was much younger. I rushed up to him before the masses and asked him: how can I improve my form Michael? He gave me a simple drill to practice. Rather than practice that drill day in day out, I brushed it off after a while (my "know-it-all mentality" showing itself). I realized I don't want to live like that anymore. I sell myself short in life and experiences when coming in with that "know-it-all" mentality.

I think more than I know.

I let myself soak in this; the moment of embracing my other side.

At the grocery store I chatted with a friend who worked there. I was there in the moment. I really looked at her; saw through her like peregrinus writes of (I looked beyond her words; what she was really saying). I connected for a short bit with her and I could tell she felt it too. I will say it feels vulnerable when 'opening up'. I'm sure peregrinus could write in greater detail of what it's like.

Even though this experience includes a girl it's far beyond the girl. True connection. Not daily horse-shit bantered back and forth. True connection. That's the best way to put it into words.

Funny things is when I was a little youngster I always drawn to Native American (Indians) and their culture of spirits. I was drawn to spiritual people as well; people with heart you know. Now I'm just strong enough to let go and accept my spirit side.

One of the fastest ways to slash through the know-it-all self and to speed this up is to realize this: "intellectual understanding," for all intensive purposes regarding this type of work, is a bullshit concept. It's a way for the ego to give ourselves credit for basically doing nothing.

If you actually understand a concept, for example the be your own best friend one from here, you'd be actively applying it in your real life. If you believed that were the most important thing you would be *living your life as though* that were the most important thing.

The figureheads here can probably relate too well to comments like:
"I get it that giving space is super important, but [insert story showing the exact opposite of someone who believes that giving space is important]"

Until you're living it, you don't get it. Reading something and saying 'i agree with that' or 'that seems to make sense' is not knowledge. With real knowledge the fake idea between these two so called sides dissolves into one process.

... and " I know" is not the same as proof.

agreed w/Flow

To know what we believe in, just check what our
real actions are.

Dude, thank you for writing what you did. You gave me a better understanding of my ego and what to look for. I did so much of that, read and felt good, but then it was BS (an illusion).

Anyways, appreciate the response :!:

No problem man.

Reading, absorbing - it's part of the process. The principles themselves are often like seeds. Actual practice of them is the water. Better to have one and water it than to keep collecting to an endless pile.

One can also say "I´ve heard about it"
instead of "I know." 8-)

That's another good quote. In that metaphor I collected more seeds than I could handle.

This whole matter of standing alone on your own two feet is not that complicated. I however made it complicated. In class right now, but will write more in a bit.

It's like exercising -- you will try to avoid it or rationalize it because the CNS is designed to move towards pleasure and away from pain. You ultimately run the show, though. Making it complicated is often more of a convenient way to distract-- "well, i'm thinking about it, i'm sorting it out, i'm getting a better understanding" from actually doing it.

Most of the good practices I am aware of, meditation etc are not that complicated, they just require consistent practice.

Jumping rope, doing pushups, sit ups and knee bends every day is not complicated, and it will work. Even if you are "researching the ultimate muscle growth workout," you should be doing the fundamentals and not using your research as a cop out.

Couldn't agree more.

In the beginning of my journey I dreamed of my "awakening moment"; an over night transformation after a wild experience of some sort.
That idea is gone now. I'm peeling the layers away little by little now.

Not to long ago when I went to face my demons and troubles it felt like I was going against the grain.
I was facing my pains, but I rationalized that this is NOT going with the flow; don't go against the grain.
Much like you wrote, it was my CNS that kicked in and stopped me short.
