Hey guys. I was in class today and chatted with the female on my left who is also in my philosophy study group. I saw her putting her pen up to her lips and sometimes putting her thumb in her mouth. I also did that shit a little bit. However, her actions didn't seem like mirroring because of the huge delay between what I did and she did. Putting things in your mouth can be associated with nervousness, excitement, frustration, sex, hunger, thirst, curiosity, thinking etc. After class I asked her if she was hungry or thirsty, and her first response was that she couldn't meet with me because she had to see a teacher. Of course, I matter-of-factly and bluntly told her that asking her to lunch was not my objective. When I queried her again as I realized that she didn't give me an answer she said that she wasn't hungry or thirsty. I haven't fully eliminated the idea of mirroring because pacing can account for gaps. The point is that I thought about giving her a piece of gum to see what it would do. However, I couldn't find the sole piece of gum that I had on my person. I have a hunch that she has an oral fixation and a need to have things in her mouth. Do you think giving her a piece of gum would have been a good idea? From the information that I have provided do her actions seem like a need? Do you think a need can be something this trivial? This is stupid to ask, but would you give her the piece of gum if you thought it was a need or would you supplant the gum with something else? |

Clue! You are focussing on the wrong thing. Or rather you are not going far enough in your thinking. |

You fucked up when you started mirroring HER. You're supposed to GET MIRRORED...not ATTEMPT TO DO THE MIRRORING. It was all uphill from there. |

don't try to build attraction by doing rapport with a woman - it doesn't work for the most part.

I worded that post poorly. I assure you that I was not mirroring her. You know this bitch was excited to see me at the party over the weekend before the class. I gave her a cursory hello. Then along comes class. I noticed that she was mirroring me with a huge lag time. I didn't want to call it mirroring because it was taking her so long. I just want to find out if what she is doing is an oral fixation need or something else. I don't want the bitch because she's broke, she's a come freak and I already have one of those, and she's air-headed.
her first response was that she couldn't meet with me because she had to see a teacher.
Clue! You are focussing on the wrong thing. Or rather you are not going far enough in your thinking. I predicted that she would say something like that to me. I could have packaged what I was going to ask her more specifically. It did occur to me that she could be thinking that way about some other guy she knows because the bitch looks like she day dreams a lot. Or, are you saying that her response indicated that what she was doing was not a need? I can also see this line of analysis by the fact that if she's answering truthfully then she would have said yes I'm hungry etc. It would also mean that the invitation is open. Although, I still would have declined even if she offered. Or, is it that if I asked the question the way that I did then she could perceive that I'm into her, just like the way that I did ask, which would cloud her response? |
