This experience is
a newly discovered
form of meditation
or
one more way
for you
to discover you.

whatever you do
with your running,
you only cheat yourself
by pushing, pressing, competing.

There are no standards
and no possible victories except
the joy you are living
while dancing your run.
in any life
joy is only known
in this moment — now!
so feel the flow
of your dance
and know
you are not running
for some future reward --
the real reward is now!

in the running
in the run
--- now ---
why not start
now?

Good... by the way, why there are always a zen for everything?, I think this word is overused and burnt in the western terriroty. Is meditation a mandatory to reach zen state? or is residing in a zen state propense for doing meditation? Zen = meditation?

One can meditate while putting on the snickers footwear before go running. One can do it while taking a dump after the long run. But that's zen!?, can you imagine 'The Zen of taking a big turd'?. I guess so.

I also know the reason why this was put in Health & Lifestyle. Thanks for the e_e book. Mr. Midas.

The joy I am shitting
whilst shitting my shit
in any toilet
joy is only known
in this moment - now!
so feel the flow of your shit
and know
you are not shitting
for some future reward
the real reward is now!

I see what you're saying Dali, but I always took Zen to be a state of(or out of) mind that encompasses all you do, including taking your morning dump. I don't personally practice anything however, though I may get into meditation if I can find my patience.

You may enjoy the Teaching's of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda. He's much more interesting imo - earthy and passionate - which you may be more inclined toward.

Here's some more info on Zen:
