Intro :
Quote:
When I was studying martial arts, I was a fanatic about Bruce Lee. Who wasn’t? The guy transformed how we view martial arts and what the human body can perform. His one-inch punch showed people that power came from the body as a whole, not from momentum or simply muscular strength.

What Bruce Lee did for the martial arts community, these body weight experts are doing for the exercise community.

Why are we exercising our bodies in “parts” when real power comes from the “whole”?

I have an issue with the title of the thread:

10 Body Weight Experts That Defy The Laws Of Gravity

They do not defy the laws, they use them, they work with them and they exploit them :D

I've been interested in this stuff for a while.

I have a workout program that is low reps to build strength and I have been doing high intensity boxing workouts at the gym 3 days a week for 8 weeks now. I just started mixing in the workout program that is low reps as well last week. It's 6 exercises you do 2 Monday, 2 Wednesday and the last two Friday.

I noticed my recovery was much slower and started to fall behind. Should I just slack off on the second program for another couple months? Or just push through it do you guys think?

ask yourself :

Why is my recovery slower?
What is that telling me?

Yeah pretty much. I'd say that your sleep and diet are not up to scratch, especially if you still work the amount of hours you said you do daily.

I blame sleep, my diet is pretty good.

I usually get 8 hours but I go to bed really late and get up late and don't feel that rested.

No, not working long hours anymore. Just studying, I'm a student now.

Kenneth preaches the Shot of Adrenaline philosophy all the way. He states that true fitness should be achieved in a balanced manner. Totally agree! Thanks
