Because you are hard.

What does that mean?

It means that you and your way are the same thing.

The quote resonated with me. Learning patience is difficult because you have to let go of so much. It really sucks. The pay off is good though. I know from many experiences when I was patient and wasn't even trying.

It's hard to go against the grain of instant gratification. Patience is predicated on delayed gratification. It's an investment in yourself rather than something else.
