I've got mixed views about Eckhart Tolle.

When I discovered the 'pain body' I created a dichotomy within myself, it's as if there was an enemy living inside of me, a greater one than the one I've been living with, it create a split inside of me, you know?.

I read and hurled A New Earth accross the room in a blind rage:P

It was all about peace and love but there was a vibe about it for me that said "Let people walk all over you, don't stand up for yourself, you shouldn't be feeling bad in the first place, you're not allowed, thats your ego!"

I remember Karl back in the day on RELM once mentioned something about people trying to align themselves with universal concsiousness without taking care of the lower chakras first.
That includes the solar plexus chakra; the personal power chakra. Etienne has said similar.

Damnit, I just bought it from amazon lol.

None of this self-development stuff helps without clearing out the crap, no matter what you read or who you talk to, none of it will sink in unless you leave room for it to grow.

I wouldn't call A new Earth just "self-development stuff" because its not a method of Eckhartt Tolle but the access to the natural conciousness for the now.

I don't know exactly what you mean but A new Earth does make you grow. It shows you the very broad and tricky "mechanics" of the ego. Its doesn't make anything than giving you awareness about your ego. And awareness is the most important part of releasing something. If you have the awareness for example if you see a woman and you instantly feel uncomfortable, that feeling has to dissappear because the light of conciousness falls on it, the light of the now where all thoughts and thought related feelings can't exist.

My experience: Lets take the same example again, the woman that makes you feel uncomfortable. As you are aware the first time the feeling doesn't really disappear or if, only for some seconds and then the ego comes back. But the more you are aware about your ego, the longer those states of natural conciousness get, the more your mental problems are fading because they can't exist in the now where you are basically completely happy.
Your ego then fights for its place and you are even more aware about it because it comes up with much bigger thoughts. Like you have not social sexuality thoughts (I want to bang her) for several months and then the "desperate" ego throws in such a thought again.

Yeah, that's a possible point of view. But I choose to see it in a more productive point of view, one with zero enemies, as there are really none. So my pain body is like a very close friend who is abusing the position of power I gave him, very frequently pushing to get more and more from me, but with the sole intention of making me grow, to see if I'm mature enough to stand on my own, setting my own limits, or I'm too lazy, afraid or childish to make him stop.

I was about to write the same things Aztecs, about the lower Chakras. Once the Energy hits the Heart Level, the Grounding/Experience starts to work, because it is a must to enter the Heart Level before there is any kind of Sexual Energy exchanged, Heart or higher!

Issues w/porn or using power over women would relate to Sacral/SolarPlexus Chakra blockages.

The Sedona Method is a great book. One book I would suggest and that is of course because I am a modern libertine is "The art of Seduction" by Robert Greene. A must have for any libertines book collection!

I read that one and didn't find any value in it.

But it might be worth a second read now that I know much more maybe I can see the things differently......

It has value for me. It's not a method on seduction really, but a collection of stories about guys who seriously had balls and that is inspiring to me and of course all stories about libertines interest me greatly. I absolutely love them. If you want reccomendations on more self help type books then I've read about a million of them as well. I like David Deida books alot. Especially "The way of the superior man", "Blue truth" and "Wild nights". I already said the Sedona Method. Also, I would reccomend "Beyond Positive thinking" by Robert Anthony. I have more, but I cant think of them right now, lol.

Raymond Holliwell ; Working With The Law (11 truth principles for successful living)

This book made miracles in my life, I used to co-teach autistic children and teenagers, their violence stopped like if by stroke of magic after me reading/applying/meditating to the book. They still attacked against other co-workers of mine, most of them women, but never problems if I was around. If, the previous year there were 8 or more violent incidents per day (that´s around 1500 per year!) this last spring, I wasn´t attacked at all, zero. We could actually teach the students.

I´m still reading the book, this is 7th time, the Universal Laws in it are in separate chapters, so I´ve studied some Laws more often than others.

The Now Habit; Neil Fiore

You´ll find out about language patterns and beating procrastination.
No wonder some people find their affirmations limiting
and a cause of resistance! The book is very eye opening, the "I AM..." is actually
creating a sort of resistance. There are better affirmation starters (for those who do them.)
