That thread on books and materials that helped the most inspired me to pick up Iceberg Slim - Pimp again. And wow, I think when I first came here and Kidd recommended it, I was still so stuck in the matrix I didn't really see the depth of lessons contained in it.
Just the foreword alone contains so many nuggets of wisdom:
