For those into hard rock/classic rock:

There is a song on the latest album by Rush that poetically describes what happens internally to cause guys to put a woman on a pedestal:

What did I see, fool that I was?
Oh, a goddess with wings on her heels.
All my illusions projected on her;
The ideal that I wanted to see.

What did I know, fool that I was?
Oh, little by little I learned
My friends were dismayed
To see me betrayed,
But they knew they could never tell me.

What did I care, fool that I was?
Oh, little by little I burned,
Maybe sometimes, there might be a flaw,
But how pretty the picture was back then.

What did I do, fool that I was,
To profit from youthful mistakes?
It's shameful to tell
How often I fell
In love with delusions again.

What did I do, the fool that I was,
To profit from youthful mistakes?
So shameful to tell
Just how often I fell
In love with illusions again!

Also, this Doobie Brothers/Michael McDonald song (a reaaaal classic.....my age is showing - actually, I like a lot of music made b4 I was born) also sums up how pathetically blind and sentimental we can be when we are "pedestalizin". That is, presuming I interpret them right; the lyrics are a little cryptic in places:

He came from somewhere back in her long ago
The sentimental fool don't see
Tryin' hard to recreate
What had yet to be created once in her life

She musters a smile for his nostalgic tale
Never coming near what he wanted to say
Only to realize
It never really was

She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As he rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go

But what a fool believes ... he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems ... to be
Is always better than nothing
And nothing at all keeps sending him ...

Somewhere back in her long ago
Where he can still believe there's a place in her life
Someday, somewhere, she will return

She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As he rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go

But what a fool believes ... he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems ... to be
Is always better than nothing
There's nothing at all
What seems ... to be
Is always better than nothing
There's nothing at all
But what a fool believes he sees ...
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems ... to be
Is always better than nothing

I like this song a lot, the music and all.
I really don't understand the lyrics, but when I hear it my gut indicates me that it's about projections, and matrix filters.

Also when I had this crush on a cute odontologist, like 7 years ago "The Guess Who - These eyes" made me so fucking depressed. (little did I know latter, that she was kindly refered to as: The football team slut)

Now it brings back memories of the matrix era. 8-)

They are almost all sluts (and the almost bit is doubtful....)

On the other hand, why should they NOT be allowed to want to fuck as much (or more) than we do?

That last sentence is something I was working on internally even before I came across this forum. Still am.......

What if I told you: All of them are sluts, and that's ok. (Your internal reaction will scream something by reading this statement)

And boy that they are allowed!! and they do what they want ONLY IF THEY WANT IT, it's only matter of permision they on themselves (morals/prejudices/values some girls have, matrix rules) I bet you that when they get face to face with one of those rare "real man" they really digg, they can feel a tingle in all her body and all that social rules and conventions previously installed, go to the toilet right off the batjust to be near him or hook up with him.

Consider also the social stigma that carries being such a libertine woman in this society, and that everybody finds out, is a big status downer for them and their image (which is almost all of the assets any lazy woman can have), so they better try to hide it under every social rug they have to opportunity to, or the good old no responsability disclaimer. I personaly think is a small price to pay for the fun they have. But I don't know because I'm not a woman. And there's also the MVT which...

... They just get to play with the toys earlier, whom they play with, and are allowed to have full control over the rules. Alas for some weaker males when they're more eager to play (as my story got interrupted for my benefit) ;) . Just wait a little and let the time do his job without forgetting yours too, so it's due time for us to play. So prepare in the mean time doing dilligently your pushups, the strict observance of the dynamics, and warmly welcoming and hugging some our internal demons, so we also get room for some playground xtravanganza without attachment.

View yourself as lucky for being a man, and a one that "knows" whazappenin' :D
Yet to have to realize it... or experiencing it as the queen chimpanzee clearly stated out.

Peace.

All my band-mates are into Rush. I can't stand the voice of the singer though...

That is EXACTLY what happens when you fall in love.
