Kidd, when did it hit you that you needed to put a lid on things you did for attention. I find that I have a touch of HPD and NPD, two things which are not necessarily helpful to me right now. I can't afford to go speak to a shrink right now so it is mostly self medicating, but at what point did you put out your hand and say NO!

It's easy to get carried away. You get nice things for your own enjoyment but they also bring extra attention. Staying grounded and doing things because you really want to becomes important.

there are times when I do some things and @ thee present time I think I am not doing it say for attention, but midway I stop and I think and ask myself why am "I" engaging in said action? and it is to get some type of attention. I cancelled the tv show I did at least twice before the producer called me back to re schedule it. it's not extreme like some of the cases I read about, but I can see instances where I do engage in some very narcissistic ways and I know it's not the business. even some of my post on here have traces of it in them and I just shake my head when I read them over
