I learned a new meditation technique recently and it works very well and bringing you to a state of presence. Get in to your favourite meditation position (sitting or lying down) and become aware of your thoughts and as they appear visualise them coming up in front of you as if on a teleprompter or similar. Anyone got any of their own favourite meditation techniques? |

Have you been getting success with it? I reccomend trying the meditation I mentioned above, I've been doing it since Moonday and I feel amazing as a result of doing it! |

I dunno man this technique you mention sounds kind of NLP lol. I define success by the extent I am able to learn about myself and transcend/progress, I assume you're referring to success with women ie gettin some, that actually happened as a by-product of me applying Kidd's advice. I guess in respect to both I have been getting success. |

Sounds great! I'll give it a shot, so its just making peace with these experiences or like what you did with that teenage self? Its not NLP its called metacognitive or something and it works to calm the mind and give you a feeling of inner peace. I recently lost 340 euro and found out I've a form of parkinsons yet I feel great! (and I'm still sexy for the record) |

It's asking yourself, really asking yourself the questions about the things that perplex you in relation to yourself. In meditation you just sit in a quiet space and focus til eventually answers will come then you will see a dark side of yourself which encompasses every insecurity, anxiety etc. you have. I'm only starting to make peace now, digging in and finding what one calls the wounded child was the first step, it's gonna be a bumpy road but something inside has changed for the better already, I'm more accepting of myself. |

That's awesome dude, I'm glad you found your core as well but this doesn't stop there, it's only the beginning, I'm uncovering more every day as part of the healing process. If you don't mind could you describe how it felt and what you saw?. |

I didn't see much its moreso what I heard and I've done it several times this week and they were mostly different. One of them was the sound of a younger childlike voice who desperately wanted friends and people to like him and he was telling me all the stuff they made him do so that he would have their approval. Then I offerend him my friendship and this shorter child me came up to me, I hugged him and he turned to sparkly dust. I then felt a good feeling were my "hara" chakra is, the stomach, I believe the chakras and this experience are connected. You know you're acting through a subself when your voice changes pitch and you do something unconciously that you don't like about yourself for doing. Its a rejected part of you that wants your attention. |

Exactly! However I would reccomend not doing what I once did and go in to trance and deal with a child everytime you do something that may have been through a subself it puts a lot of pressure on you and your mind and is not healthy. |

A Wall. Somewhere to sit. That is all you require. |

I tried that kind of just relax and be aware of your thoughts meditation before and got more results out of the kind I mentioned above.
Why is a wall a requirement?
Its not really, its just somewhere to sit. I normally lie in bed. Apprantly the lotus position which causes pain is to get rid of karma, left leg on top for men.

Why is a wall a requirement?
Try it.. Sit, and stare at the wall - preferably white wall without any paintings or anything on it.. Sit there as long as you can, half an hour at least, preferably hour
