A wise man sat in the audience and cracked a joke.
Everybody laughed like crazy.

After a moment, he cracked the same joke again.
This time, less people laughed.

He cracked the same joke again and again.

When there was no laughter in the crowd,

he smiled and said: "You can't laugh at the same joke again and again, why do you keep crying over the same thing, over and over again?"

that can be fixed if you know what you are letting go of. if there is a problem deep within, and you know what the problem is, then you should be able to find the right tools needed to root that problem out.

Well sure, theoretically.. But practically people seem to like their suffering in some way - They sometimes enjoy their negative state or circumstances.

Totally different set of circumstances. Spoken humor requires the element of surprise. That's why you can't tell it more than once and have it be as funny.
