Read the comments... (Of course, not everything on the internet is true, use your brain.)

Some comments in case post gets deleted :

There's a Russian war song either about Afganistan or Chechnya with a lyric basically saying, "The only woman who remembers me when I come home is my mom"

It's been happening for so long that Hammurabi made it punishable by death. He mentioned it in his laws.

Back in my 2003 deployment on the USS Higgins, we had a Sailor get pregnant 4 months into deployment. The problem was she was married and her husband was back at home in San Diego. The Captain made her tell her husband over the phone during her NJP and tell him. She said it was a mistake and if he could stay with her. He divorced her and told her, " have your sea daddy take care of you, you whor*".

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: mandatory paternity testing before a penny of cold support is owed!

After desert storm ... when we got back .. every married soldier in my platoon and company filed for divorce. This was in an infantry division. Within 3 months, the pentagon was complaining about this. Every division deployed had this going on. The pentagon was not worried about soldiers. They were worried about wives that didn't have 10 years tenure not being entitled to the soldiers' money.

My best friend married an 18 year old from KC before he left for Afghanistan. I told him it was a mistake. He returns home after a 6 month tour. I don't hear from him in over month because I want him to spend time with his wife. He calls me and tells me his wife is pregnant. I congratulated him and then he tells me she's 6 months pregnant... I'm trying to do the math and he's like yup I'm getting a divorce.

Happens so often I'm surprised any military men get married.

There needs to be legal consequences for cheating. It’s gotten to the point where the Muslim’s take on women’s rights appears appealing.

In the Marines deployed to Iraq 04, she cheated, killed my credit, bills were in default, spent all my savings. Divorced in 05, didn't date for 7 years until I was a Dod contractor in Japan, married a Japanese woman. Have happy family, financially comfortable, and PEACE AND QUIET!!!

I lived it in 2005 when i was in the army. Women know nothing of loyalty.

Sadly, this applies to more than just military wives today...

My sister married her first husband when she was 21 and he was 19. He was deployed to Afghanistan seven times and she cheated on him a couple times… my sister is now 42 been married three times and divorced three times and her life is terrible. Women are weak

Unfortunately this can happen to any man who works shifts.

I can't even laugh at this, it's disgusting and depressing

100% true. 20 year GWOT vet. Recently retired. This is just the way they are. Don’t deploy for Raytheon profits or at all for a country that hates you. All I’m saying.

My little brother just enlisted in the Army, aiming to be a Ranger. He's never had a girlfriend and I told him he shouldn't consider it until AFTER he's out, If the Army had wanted you to be married or in love, they would've issued you a gal."<

Watched a soldier knock his pregnant wife out as soon as he got off the bus. She was 5 months pregnant and he hadn’t been home for about a year.

She's for da streets>/span><

I knew a guy way back in the 80's in the military. He found out that his girlfriend whom he moved into an apartment with and paid all of the bills even when he was deployed and not living there with her, has another real boyfriend. Their scheme was to have her date a military guy just to get someone else to pay all of their bills. It was worth it to this couple to share her with another guy as long as that guy got stuck paying for everything for the two of them. There's no limit to what people will do for money.

My husband works out of town a lot and this comments section makes me sad because I value loyalty. Thanks for your service all.

I worked in military HR and a photographic memory. I knew a lot more about people than I wanted to know. And when deployments came up, magically a good sized portion of women would get pregnant.

It's simple, adultery must be outlawed. Fines, instant marriage revocation, jail time.

There needs to be "At-Fault" Divorce that men can file which when recognized, means that the At-Fault party, the cheating infidelic wife, can be dropped like a sack of potatoes in a divorce, and the cheater gets NOTHING. No half of the man's stuff and no child support or alimony, since that's not his kid. That's one way to fix marriage in a jiffy. YOU (the cheater) LOSE. GOOD DAY SIR!

<medically retired infantryman. Every single married man I knew in the army was cheated on. Every single one…

When my husband was in the military, I remained faithful and loyal. We have been married 47 years. I guess the standard has really slipped over the years.

That’s why tradition is important. Even if you marry a wife and be dispatched, you need to bring the wife to your home, where your parents are, where other relatives live close by to watch her. Also make her pregnant before you leave. You see and notice how in the past they did it like that? Especially on WHY they did it.

Facts. I was a MP in the Army for 12 years, and in between my own deployments I often patrolled housing. I can't tell you the number of men in and out of these dependas houses I've seen, knowing full well that's not their husband. I've responded to dozens and dozens of domestics where the husband found out

Heard that's what alot of Ukrainian "wives" are doing while thier husbands are fighting.

This is why as a class A CDL driver I won't get married either. we face very similar circumstances to an enlisted soldier.

And yet they expect men to sacrifice and die protecting women!

“I never saw it… coming…”

Fact. I spent 4 months on a Navy installation and those wives went directly to the base club when the ship sailed out.

My dad died from exposure to agent orange In nam.after his death I met my real dad who went to live with his aunt in Canada..he's still my real dad but a coward and I keep my name Smith from the soldier that raised me

Sad reality. We've let our ancestors down so badly.

Man.. Women is our punishment that God made us keep

My dad went to a party the other day and he felt hella uncomfortable because all the women around him, married mothers were talking about how they cheat on their husbands with firefighters and stuff.
